Senior Support Worker
Location: Chester
Pay: £28,957.50 plus overtime/on-call
Role Overview:
This service provides support for individuals with specific needs including acute learning disabilities and mental health diagnoses. The aim is to help the people we support develop their independence and confidence. The service provides 24/7 cover and waking nights.
The Senior Support Worker role requires flexibility with shift work, including on-call duties, and involves two days of office administration. You will work on a rotation that includes every other weekend to ensure smooth service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deputise for the Service Manager in their absence
- Manage rota and ensure effective service delivery
- Provide on-call support across multiple services as required
- Handle incidents with on-call advice and assistance
- Build and maintain professional relationships with individuals
- Deliver care as outlined in care and person-centred plans
- Lead and support the team in providing consistent, high-quality care to people with complex needs and challenging behaviours
- Support individuals with daily living tasks, promoting independence and personal growth
Qualifications:
- A Level 3 qualification or above in Health and Social Care is desirable; however – support for achieving this qualification will be provided
- Experience as a Support Team Leader, Senior Support Worker, Senior Health Care Assistant, or Deputy Manager is preferred
- Experience supporting people with complex needs, learning disabilities, or mental health diagnoses essential
- Driving Licence required to drive the people we support mobility cars
